Clark Parsons and his team had a clear mission: build a nonprofit voice for Europe’s technological sovereignty.

The donors were ready. The legal entity was not.

That is a common problem for ambitious nonprofit founders. Incorporation takes time. Recognition as a charitable entity takes longer. But major donors often need to give within a specific tax year.

With bcause, Clark launched a Foundation before the German gUG was formally established. This allowed committed donors to give immediately and receive German donation receipts for the same tax year.

The funds were held securely on bcause and earned returns through bcause grow until the new organisation was ready to draw them down.

The result:

No lost momentum, no lost tax year, no rushed structure. The Internet Economy Foundation could start professionally before it officially existed.
