Requirement to retain receipts

The legal obligation to keep donation receipts in order to be able to present them in the event of a tax audit. If you want to deduct donations from your taxes, you must keep the corresponding receipts for at least 10 years. This applies to all donations you claim for tax purposes, regardless of the amount.

An example would be keeping a donation receipt of 50 euros, which you have to submit for your tax return.
