Raising donations for a birthday

No gift, please. But a donation is very welcome.

No gift, please. But a donation is very welcome.

Anna is turning 34. She has everything she needs – and instead of gifts, she prefers something that lasts. In five minutes, she sets up a fundraising campaign on bcause, sends the link to her guests, and by the evening of her birthday, her favorite organization has €620 more in its account.

The Challenge

Anyone who wishes for donations instead of gifts for birthdays or special occasions quickly faces a practical question: How do I organize this? Sending an IBAN around feels awkward. Setting up your own fundraising campaign sounds tedious. And who actually issues the donation receipt to the givers?

The Solution

Anna creates a fundraising campaign on bcause for free. With a short text about why this topic is close to her heart and the link to one or more favorite organizations. She sends the link via WhatsApp to her birthday guests.

  • Set up for free and in minutes – no technical background knowledge needed

  • Every giver automatically receives a donation receipt – directly after the transaction

  • The donations are automatically distributed to the selected organizations – Anna doesn't need to forward or track anything

  • No transaction fees – 100% arrives

Collecting through my own account was too legally risky for me, and with direct donations, I had no overview. Both issues are resolved with my bcause fundraising campaign. Cleanly bundled and transparent.

The Result

€620 for the rainforest. No forgotten bank transfers, no manual receipts, no hassle. And Anna's guests know: Their gesture has arrived, and so has their own donation receipt.
